J&K: Gutroo Village Women in Tral Start Learning & Earning Through Papier Mache Handicrafts The Handicrafts Department started a Centre here in Gutroo, Tral. The centre has been functioning for two years. We have received training in the art work of Papier Mache, informed female art workers in the centre. We want to use this art to do this work at home as well, said ladies in Jammu & Kashmir’s Tral region. We are 20 females working here. We earn our own livelihood. We are not dependent on anyone. This programme is very beneficial for ladies. We ask other ladies too to join this scheme. This scheme should reach every village, the ladies stated. Those unemployed sisters and mothers too can learn and earn.
