Srinagar I March 11, 2025 – The Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned 194 road and bridge projects across the Union Territory, with a total estimated cost of ₹1,022.63 crore. The announcement, made under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund , underscores the administration’s commitment to improving rural connectivity and infrastructure.
The approval was detailed in the J&K Assembly in response to a query by MLA Dr. Sajad Shafi. According to the minister in charge, among these projects, 10 specific initiatives valued at ₹50.43 crore have been greenlit for Baramulla district over the past two years under RIDF-XXIX. Additionally, two road projects worth ₹6.45 crore have been sanctioned for the Uri constituency as part of the same funding scheme.
