Since assuming office in August 2020, LG Manoj Sinha has redefined governance through a citizen-centric approach. The J&K e-Services Portal, launched under Sinha’s directives, now hosts 250+ online services, reducing bureaucratic delays by 70%. The Beacon Project—a real-time project monitoring system—ensures 100% transparency in infrastructure development, with ₹45,000 crore worth of projects tracked live.Corruption complaints have dropped by 42% since 2021, as per the J&K Anti-Corruption Bureau data, bolstered by the LG’s zero-tolerance policy.
Empowering Local Democracy
The historic DDC elections in 2020—conducted peacefully after decades—marked a turning point. With 280 elected DDC members, 4,000+ Panchayat representatives, and Block Development Councils, J&K now boasts one of India’s most robust three-tier Panchayati Raj systems.
“Democracy thrives when power reaches the last mile,” LG Sinha emphasized while inaugurating the Panchayat Ghars in Kupwara.
The Awaas Plus app has identified 2.5 lakh missed beneficiaries under PMAY-G, ensuring inclusive development.
Economic Revival & Youth Empowerment
The J&K Industrial Policy 2021 has attracted ₹75,000 crore in investments, generating 1.2 lakh jobs. The Tejaswini and Hausla schemes have empowered 50,000+ women entrepreneurs, while Mission Youth has skilled 1 lakh youth through 100+ ITIs and polytechnics.Digital J&K: A Connectivity RevolutionWith 5,000+ new mobile towers under the Saturation of 4G Project, 90% of J&K’s villages are now 4G-enabled. The Smart Cities Mission in Jammu and Srinagar has introduced AI-based traffic management, reducing congestion by 35%.
