UAE’s EMAAR Group is constructing a 10 lakh square foot mall in Srinagar. Two IT towers will be constructed in Jammu and Srinagar. The Lieutenant Governor said that Jammu and Kashmir held the first rank at the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Now it stands at number two position after Gujarat. The places in J&K like Shopian, Pulwama and Tral which became famous for other reasons, there a big change was witnessed recently with ten thousand people carrying the tricolour, cheering for Mother India, walking continuously till August 14, waving the tricolour. After 30 years, cinema halls are operating in Kashmir. Free night public bus transport services which were shut for the last 32 years, the State Transport Bus Corporation has begun a free night service. The Back to Village programme that was recently concluded did the saturation of the social security schemes. People were told that everyone cannot get a government job but they can be trained to be entrepreneurs or join self employment. The J&K Bank gives Rs 10 lakh without collateral. After the Back to Village Programme, right after 15 days 75,000 youth were granted 949 crore rupees as financial aid. Six lakh women in J&K through Self Help Groups are contributing to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. From the point of view of security, the security forces in J&K have the upperhand, LG stated. Those days have passed when stone pelting used to happen, when bandh calls were raised at the signal of our neighbour country and schools and colleges remained shut. People of Jammu and Kashmir also want schools, colleges and institutions to keep going. In these three years of our journey under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi we have reached close to our destination. Many people do not want us to reach the destination, LG said. I have faith that with the cooperation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir we will definitely reach our destination. In 2047, the dream which India holds and the target set for India by PM Narendra Modi, we want to build such Jammu and Kashmir by 2047 that it is deemed no less than any other state of India, LG Manoj Sinha said.
