J&K girls rank 8th & 9th position in ski mountaineering at Khelo India Winter Games 2025 in Gulmarg. We did ski mountaineering and the experience was very good, said a participant at the 5th Khelo India Winter Games 2025 being held in Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir. I stood at the ninth rank. From J&K two girls ranked at the eighth and ninth position. Next year we will try for Gold. I come from Pune and I have been training in the hills in Pune to try and simulate the conditions here. I try to translate the skillset on Gulmarg snow so that uphill and downhill both events are taken care of, said the Pune-based trainer. Gulmarg is beautiful and the ski mountains are superb. It is one of the highest ski resorts in the world. It is an honour and privilege to train the team in Gulmarg. The previous chapters went off well. Those who have played know the terrain. We have strengthened the technical aspects so that the players when they go international they are prepared to play on the same terrain with the practice here. As organisers it is our endeavour to train and coach the athletes well so that they perform well on international terrains as well.
