Nowshera, April 30, 2025 — In a proactive effort to strengthen public engagement and address grassroots-level concerns, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary held a Public Darbar in Village Bhawani, Nowshera today. The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing public outreach program aimed at fostering transparency and ensuring timely redressal of citizens’ issues.
The public interaction witnessed significant participation from local residents, panchayat members, civil society representatives, and senior government officials. Citizens raised a range of public grievances, including demands for improved road connectivity, better drinking water facilities, regular power supply, and upgraded healthcare and education infrastructure.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Chief Minister Choudhary emphasized the administration’s commitment to ensuring inclusive and sustainable development across remote and border areas like Nowshera. He assured the public that all genuine demands would be taken up on priority and directed the concerned departments to resolve critical issues within a time-bound framework.
Key officials present during the darbar included Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Magotra, who also holds additional charge of Nowshera, and the Tehsildar of Nowshera. Their presence facilitated real-time instructions and administrative responses to citizen concerns.
Speaking to the media after the event, Choudhary stated, “The government is working tirelessly to bring governance to the doorstep of the people. Public Darbars are not just grievance platforms, but a vital tool for participatory governance and feedback-driven policy implementation.”
This Public Darbar in Village Bhawani is part of a broader outreach campaign being conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir administration to strengthen democratic engagement and build trust between the government and the people.
