Srinagar, 15 September,2025: The Chief Minister attended the 58th Engineers’ Day celebrations at the Institution of Engineers India , J&K State Centre, Srinagar, where he paid glowing tributes to Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the legendary engineer and statesman whose contributions laid the foundation of modern India.
Addressing a gathering of professionals, academicians, and students, the Chief Minister underscored the vital role of engineers in nation-building, emphasising that their innovations shape infrastructure, technology, and sustainable development.
He urged the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to pursue excellence in the field of engineering with a strong sense of ethical responsibility, innovation, and service to society. Highlighting the transformative potential of engineering, the CM stressed that the state’s development requires young minds to engage in problem-solving, research, and sustainable solutions.
The event also featured discussions on advancements in engineering, the importance of skill development, and opportunities for Kashmiri youth in emerging technologies.
Officials of IEI J&K State Centre expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister’s encouragement and reiterated their commitment to nurturing engineering talent in the region.
