Srinagar, September 8, 2025: Jammu and Kashmir Bank organised impactful Login Day events at its Zonal Offices in Baramulla and Rajouri this week as part of the J&K Government’s flagship Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan) initiative, aimed at fostering youth entrepreneurship and self-employment. The events focused on empowering young entrepreneurs by distributing sanction letters for financial assistance to kickstart their business ventures.In Baramulla, the event was chaired by General Manager Shabir Ahmad, alongside Zonal Head Tanveer Ahmad Najar, Cluster Heads Mehboob Ellahi Khan (Sopore), Abdul Majid Bhat (Kupwara), and Sheikh Mohammad Muzaffar (Bandipora). A total of 35 sanction letters were handed over to beneficiaries to support their entrepreneurial endeavors. Speaking at the event, Shabir Ahmad emphasized the transformative potential of Mission YUVA, stating, “J&K Bank is committed to empowering the youth of Baramulla by providing not just financial support but also guidance to turn their ideas into thriving businesses.
This initiative is pivotal in addressing unemployment by fostering job creators.”In Rajouri, J&K Bank collaborated with the District Administration to host “Udyami Yuva Day” at Dak Bungalow, with Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Chander Prakash as the chief guest. General Manager Mohammad Muzaffar Wani, Deputy Director Employment Mohammad Nawaz, Zonal Head Rajeev Kumar Digra, Cluster Head Deepak Sharma, and Lead District Manager Ravinder Singh were also present. The event saw 30 sanction letters distributed to aspiring entrepreneurs. ADC Chander Prakash lauded J&K Bank’s efforts, noting, “The bank’s role in processing Mission YUVA cases is commendable, encouraging youth to become entrepreneurs and create employment opportunities.” He urged beneficiaries to adhere to financial discipline to ensure the success of their ventures.The Login Day events featured interactive sessions where beneficiaries praised the Mission YUVA app and the bank’s support in preparing project reports.
To date, J&K Bank has sanctioned 3,202 entrepreneurial cases and disbursed funds in 1,398 cases across the Union Territory, reflecting significant progress in nurturing youth-led enterprises.These events underscore J&K Bank’s commitment to the J&K Government’s vision of empowering youth through sustainable livelihoods. The bank continues to facilitate access to credit, mentorship, and social security schemes, strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
