Kashmir, April 1, 2026- In a significant step towards promoting inclusivity and empowerment, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, under its CSR initiative Project Samarth, distributed assistive aids worth ₹33 lakh to persons with disabilities (PwDs) in Jammu.
The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India and Composite Regional Centre Jammu, aiming to enhance mobility and improve quality of life for beneficiaries.
A total of 54 assistive devices were distributed, including joystick-operated wheelchairs and motorized tricycles. These aids are expected to significantly support independent movement and accessibility for PwDs, enabling greater participation in daily activities and social life.
The programme reflects a broader commitment to social responsibility, focusing on inclusion and equal opportunity. By addressing mobility challenges, the initiative seeks to empower individuals and foster a more accessible and supportive environment in Jammu and Kashmir.
