Jashn-e-Drugmulla was celebrated in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Administrator said that looking at the talent present in Drugmulla, I remember the words of former late President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam that when you are inspired by a great purpose then government forces and talent doubles up. When there is a big aim in your heart then your hidden talent comes out. Your inner strength comes out. And that is what is necessary today that we increase our inner strength and take it to new heights. Just as the name suggests: Jashn-e-Drugmulla parwaaz-e-Kashmir. Let us celebrate the new Kashmir along with the people of Drugmulla. Older residents of Drugmulla said there once existed a theatre here but it was shut during tumultuous times. Now after 35 years, with the efforts of the Army and Civil Administration, a theatre programme is being organised. They were happy that the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha is promoting the culture of Kashmir. The youth will be engaged and this will discourage drugs and bad activities, say the elders in Drugmulla. This will keep the youth safe. The G20 event has also encouraged the youth that the tourists will increase, business will flourish in Kashmir and there will be peace. We are grateful to the UT administration and the Army for organising this programme here. There were around 5,000 participants in the Jashn-e-Drugmulla programme. The two-day programme held a lot of games like volleyball, Kho Kho, etc. The youth actively participated in the programme. A lot of changes have been observed in the youth here. Hopefully, there will be a transformation in those who are getting drawn towards drugs, said residents of village Drugmulla.
