Jashn-e-Dal was organised by the J&K Police in Srinagar from June 17-19, 2023. J&K police along with children, youth, and the water sports associations celebrated this event. Jashn-e-Dal celebrates Kashmir’s beauty and it is a way to recognise the importance of Dal Lake and to make it accessible to the people, said Dilbag Singh, DGP J&K. He further said that for our children, young friends who take interest in watersports, it is a means of providing them a platform. This is a way to identify the children who are talented. And after this we help them to reach the national and international platforms. Those children who perform well are also sponsored by us. Jashn-e-Dal is a prestigious event. J&K Police has a big role in promoting water sports. From every district of J&K children have come here from the rural belt of Shopian, Ganderbal, Bandipora or Baramulla. Thirty-six events will be held. The highlight of this event is that there is 50% participation from women which will take the women players to higher platforms, observed a female in Srinagar.
