Jammu, March 25,2026- In a major boost to tourism, the Jammu division on Wednesday unveiled its largest tulip garden at the picturesque Sanasar Valley, offering visitors a vibrant new floral destination.
Spread across 35 kanal, the newly developed garden features over 2 lakh tulips in 25 different varieties, creating a spectacular display of colours against the scenic backdrop of Sanasar’s lush meadows and pine forests.
Officials said the initiative aims to diversify tourism hotspots in Jammu and Kashmir and reduce the pressure on traditional destinations by promoting lesser-explored yet equally scenic locations in the Jammu region.
To ensure a smooth visitor experience, authorities have introduced e-ticketing facilities, allowing tourists to avoid long queues and enjoy hassle-free entry into the garden. Adequate arrangements, including parking, basic amenities, and security, have also been put in place.
Tourism stakeholders believe the new tulip garden will significantly enhance footfall in Sanasar Valley, known for its serene environment and adventure tourism activities such as paragliding and trekking.
The opening of the garden comes as part of broader efforts by the administration to promote seasonal tourism and showcase the natural beauty of the region beyond the Kashmir Valley.
With tulips in full bloom, the garden is expected to attract large numbers of tourists, photographers, and nature enthusiasts in the coming weeks, adding a fresh dimension to Jammu’s spring tourism calendar.
