Jammu, November 26,2025 – Jammu witnessed grand Constitution Day celebrations today, with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha leading the event to honour the vision and legacy of the founding fathers and architects of India’s Constitution. The celebrations underscored the Constitution’s role as a beacon of equity, liberty, and social justice for all citizens.
During the event, LG Manoj Sinha paid homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Constitution, and highlighted the transformative changes in Jammu & Kashmir. After a long wait of 67 years, the full provisions of the Indian Constitution were applied to the region in 2019, ending decades of discrimination and injustice.
The LG emphasised that Jammu & Kashmir is now progressing under the guidance of the Constitution, embracing principles of equity, social justice, and economic development envisioned by Dr. Ambedkar. The celebrations included speeches, cultural programs, and discussions on the importance of constitutional values in shaping a modern, inclusive India.
Constitution Day serves as a reminder of India’s commitment to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, reaffirming the Constitution as the guiding light for every citizen.
