Jammu, February 13: In a significant event at the Convention Centre, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha presented the prestigious J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides Rajya Puraskar Certificates to Scouts, Guides, Rovers, and Rangers. The certificates were awarded in recognition of their dedication, selfless service, hard work, and discipline. The Lieutenant Governor extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the recipients, commending their contributions to community service and nation-building.
During the ceremony, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the exceptional work of J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides in promoting the spirit of national integration and selfless service for the betterment of society. He highlighted the organisation’s ongoing mission to instil the motto of “service to others before self” in the hearts of the youth.
“J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides are doing remarkable work by fostering the spirit of national integration, which is essential for the unity and progress of our nation,” said LG Sinha. “It is through the dedication of these young individuals that we can continue to build a stronger, more united society.”
The Lieutenant Governor also called on the Scouts & Guides to become the ‘Agents of Change’ at the grassroots level. He urged them to inspire the youth to dedicate themselves to the constructive transformation of society. “Youth is the only power we have today to develop a progressive society and a prosperous nation. Through youth, we can ignite the flame of transformation,” he emphasised.
LG Sinha underscored the importance of utilising the potential of Scouts & Guides to address socio-economic challenges, pointing out their capacity to offer innovative solutions. He urged the organisation to raise awareness on socio-economic issues and work towards preserving natural resources and protecting the environment.
Additionally, the Lieutenant Governor called for the creation of a network of youth leaders, connecting them to cultural heritage and traditions. He emphasised the need to form a dedicated team of Scouts and Guides to fight against drug abuse in the region.
As the Chief Patron of J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides, the Lieutenant Governor reiterated his commitment to facilitating their smooth operations. He assured the provision of necessary financial support and grants for the upcoming National Integration Camp.
On this occasion, the Lieutenant Governor also honoured Scout Masters and Guide Captains for their invaluable contributions.
