Jammu & Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha Commends Engineering Sector at EEPC India’s National Export Awards At the 52nd and 53rd National Export Awards function on November 21 by EEPC India at New Delhi, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha said, this spectacular event provides a valuable opportunity to recognise and appreciate dynamic entrepreneurs of Indian engineering sectors for their outstanding contribution. The export estimates of October 2023 India were estimated at 62.26 billion dollars, an increase of 9.43% over 56.90 billion dollars in October 2022. Engineering goods were one of the major contributors to export growth and it has recorded a growth of 7.2% from 7.55 billion dollars in October 2022 to 8.20 million dollars in October 2023. India is a global bright spot under the leadership of the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, LG said. And today, we are not only contributing to global growth but also accelerating our own economic progress. According to the International Monetary Fund, Indian economy is breaking new grounds and we continue to be the fastest growing economy of the world. The honourable Prime Minister has steered the ship during turbulent times and adopted holistic approach to save India from global slowdown. He created the path for India’s future journey, a journey of Amrit Kal, LG said. And to ensure we are a step ahead from the other largest economy, he provided Rs 27.1 lakh crore of Atma Nirbhar package during COVID pandemic to keep the wheels of national progress moving. Under his visionary leadership India is being seen as a growth market of the future and the government has implemented various export promotion schemes such as zero duty export promotion, capital goods scheme, tonnes of export excellence, market initiatives and also took several steps for automobiles and components industry 4.0 to enhance capacity, quality and productivity of our country’s engineering sector. There is a reason for being hopeful in the future too. As it is more inclusive driven, it will not only bring prosperity but it will also ensure that new technologies and innovations contribute to efficiency and productivity and also focus on equitable and sustainable growth for Bharat. I am also confident about the engineering sector’s ability to translate India’s dreams into reality, said the Lt Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha.
