Jammu, December 18,2025- In a significant boost to youth entrepreneurship and livelihood initiatives, the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Jammu today approved 273 new cases under Mission YUVA, the flagship scheme aimed at promoting skill-based entrepreneurship among youth.
The approvals were granted during a joint meeting of the DLIC and members of the State Bank of India Development Unit (SBDU), convened to scrutinise and approve applications submitted under the initiative.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas, who reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to empowering youth through sustainable entrepreneurial opportunities and skill-based livelihoods.
Other attendees included Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sher Singh, Deputy Director DE&CC Jammu, Sunaina Saini, Assistant Director DE&CC Jammu, Mukhlis Ali, along with members of the SBDU and DLIC.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted on key agenda items, including SBDU verification, preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), bank sanctions and disbursement status, onboarding of external trainers, enterprise mentorship programs, approval of completion requests by the DLIC, and onboarding of motivators under Mission YUVA.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for timely coordination among departments, banks, and implementing agencies to ensure swift sanctions, disbursement, and handholding support to beneficiaries. He also highlighted the importance of quality mentorship, capacity building, and continuous monitoring for the long-term success of youth-led enterprises.
With the approval of these 273 cases, Mission YUVA continues to gain momentum in Jammu district, reinforcing the administration’s vision of nurturing a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth.
