Kashmir, June 30,2026-The annual Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 has officially entered its final preparatory phase as the Jammu administration commenced the token distribution process for registered pilgrims ahead of the departure of the first batch of devotees. A large number of pilgrims gathered at designated token distribution centres in Jammu to collect their tokens, reflecting the growing enthusiasm among devotees for the sacred pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine.
The token distribution is an essential part of the Yatra management system, ensuring smooth movement of pilgrims towards the twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal. Devotees queued up patiently to complete the formalities before beginning their spiritual journey to seek the blessings of Baba Barfani.
Officials have made elaborate arrangements at the token distribution centres, including security checks, medical assistance, information counters, and crowd management measures to facilitate a hassle-free experience for pilgrims. Authorities have urged devotees to carry all necessary documents, including valid registration slips and identification, while collecting their tokens.
The first batch of Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims is scheduled to depart from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu tomorrow under tight security arrangements. The convoy will travel towards the Kashmir Valley before proceeding to the Holy Cave Shrine via the designated routes.
The Jammu & Kashmir administration, in coordination with the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), security forces, health departments, and other agencies, has put in place comprehensive arrangements to ensure the safe, secure, and smooth conduct of the Amarnath Yatra 2026. Enhanced security deployment, traffic regulation, accommodation facilities, sanitation measures, and medical services have been established along the pilgrimage route.
The annual pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine is one of India’s most revered religious events, drawing lakhs of devotees from across the country every year. With the token distribution now underway and the first convoy set to leave Jammu, the spiritual journey of Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 is all set to begin.
