I am truly proud of our daughters who have out performed the boys and bagged the maximum gold medals, said the Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha at the Islamic University Convocation. I am told out of 72 gold medals, 46 are bagged by girls and it is more than 60% of the total number of gold medallists. I can proudly say that the unique half, part of the society with amazing qualities, brilliance, harmony, peace, creativity, compassion, leadership, individuality, courage and deeply rooted to the ancient values, our daughters are advancing India’s rights in the world, LG said. It is hugely gratifying for me as a Chancellor to see Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), one of our topmost institutions of higher education. It is not only teaching you the necessary skills for intelligent technologies that will save the future. But also giving you the power of ideas, strong character, inquisitiveness, humility that will help you to pursue diverse careers and steer the life ahead. It is true that we must celebrate the achievements of our gold medals and the toppers on the occasion of convocation but more than that we must celebrate the internal human values, creativity, curiosity, critical thinking, righteousness, individuality and compassion which have been nurtured by this university. These values are invisible gold medals that will empower you to create a better future for the country as a responsible and enlightened citizen. Under the leadership and guidance of the honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, Professor Kasturi Rangan and his colleagues have scripted a National Education Policy 2020 that is empowering our students to succeed in the machine-dominated world. And it is blended with the value system to ensure perfect balance in inner and outer growth of every student, said the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
