Kashmir Ahead

Iqra from Anantnag turns her passion into profession, becomes a sweet success story

Anantnag, November 1,2025: A student of M.A. Tourism, Iqra from Anantnag, always dreamed big — and today, she’s living that dream. Inspired by MasterChef India contestant Rukhsar Syed, Iqra decided to blend her creativity with her passion for baking, transforming her small kitchen into a thriving world of sweetness.

What began as a hobby soon caught the attention of many through social media, where people started placing orders after discovering her beautifully crafted desserts. With consistency, honesty, and a commitment to quality, Iqra earned her FSSAI food license, a symbol of trust and professionalism in the culinary field.

Today, Iqra not only earns a stable income but also proudly calls herself an independent woman. Her journey — from a university student to a successful entrepreneur in Kashmir — stands as a powerful example of how determination and hard work can turn passion into purpose.

“I just wanted to do something that makes me happy,” says Iqra. “Now I’m proud to inspire others to believe in their dreams.”

Her story is a testament to Kashmir’s growing wave of women entrepreneurship, where creativity meets courage to craft success stories that inspire a generation.
