Srinagar , 22 September ,2025: An Indo-Australian delegation led by Dr. Sajid N. Saiyed, Chairman, Bharat CSR Network, called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today and presented a series of proposals aimed at promoting sustainable development and community empowerment in Jammu & Kashmir.
The delegation outlined impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which include the establishment of 10 Smart Villages, setting up of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Labs, launching of a Waste-to-Wealth Programme to encourage sustainability, water remediation projects, construction of community centres, and providing rehabilitation support for flood victims.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha appreciated the delegation’s commitment towards inclusive growth and sustainable development in the Union Territory. He assured full support from the administration to facilitate the effective implementation of the proposed projects.
The meeting reflects a strong collaborative spirit between India and Australia in leveraging CSR for social impact and highlights the government’s focus on building resilient communities, modern infrastructure, and sustainable ecosystems across Jammu & Kashmir.
