Bhaderwah, October 25, 2025: Kudos to the Indian Army! Under Project Roshni, the Rashtriya Rifles in Bhaderwah have distributed solar-powered searchlights to 150 families living near the dense forests of Dugga Valley. This initiative aims to enhance community safety and provide protection against wild animals during the harsh winter months.
The solar-powered lights also assist in monitoring for anti-national elements, ensuring that residents are safer during long winter nights. Officials from the Indian Army emphasised that Project Roshni focuses on combining safety, technology, and community support in remote and sensitive areas.
Local families expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for this initiative, highlighting how such measures improve rural safety and strengthen civil-military relations in Jammu and Kashmir.
