Kashmir, December 14,2025:The Indian Army continues to stand firmly with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, reinforcing its commitment to social welfare and inclusive development. In a recent humanitarian initiative, Indian Army personnel reached the remote villages of Sagra and Mendhar to support differently-abled citizens by distributing essential assistive devices.
As part of the outreach programme, the Army distributed wheelchairs, cerebral palsy chairs, smart canes, and MSIED kits to individuals with special needs. The initiative aims to improve mobility, independence, and overall quality of life for beneficiaries, particularly in border and rural areas that often face limited access to specialised healthcare resources.
Local residents expressed gratitude for the Army’s compassionate gesture, noting that such support brings not only physical assistance but also dignity, confidence, and hope. The programme reflects the Indian Army’s broader role beyond security—acting as a pillar of humanitarian aid, inclusion, and community welfare.
Through sustained civil-military cooperation, the Indian Army continues to transform lives in Jammu and Kashmir by addressing grassroots needs and strengthening bonds with local communities.
