Baramulla, May 19,2026- The Indian Army in collaboration with the District Administration Baramulla organised the Inter-School Debate Championship 2026 under the Tarjuman-e-Amaan initiative, providing young students with a valuable platform to showcase their confidence, critical thinking and leadership skills.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various schools across Baramulla district. Participants spoke on important social, educational and national issues, highlighting the talent, awareness and communication abilities of the youth.
Officials said the championship was aimed at encouraging constructive dialogue, promoting peace and nurturing leadership qualities among students through healthy academic competition.
Teachers, parents and organisers appreciated the confidence and public speaking skills displayed by the participants during the debate sessions. The programme also focused on motivating students to become responsible citizens and active contributors to society.
The initiative under Tarjuman-e-Amaan reflects the continued efforts of the Indian Army and civil administration to engage youth positively through educational, cultural and awareness-based activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
Students who performed exceptionally were awarded prizes and certificates at the conclusion of the event.
