A ramp based multi-level parking at Panjtirthi, Jammu was inaugurated by the Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha. In his address, the Lt. Governor of J&K said he dedicated the parking facility to the residents of Jammu. He said he was hopeful that with the start of this multi-level parking facility, there will be better management of traffic and it will help in decongesting traffic on the roads. Through numerous digital interfaces, the LG said, attempts are on to make the common man’s life easy. This facility is one such achievement by the Jammu Municipal Corporation. He congratulated the Housing and Urban Development Department for this milestone. This project falls under AMRUT-Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation. It is part of the smart parking initiative where modern solutions are used to considerably reduce parking on roads and generate revenue for the city.
