Doda, November 10,2025 – Braving the steep slopes and challenging terrain, hundreds of devotees participated in the Chakrabati Yatra to the ancient Ganesh Temple at Taisna village in Bhalla Tehsil of Doda district. Perched at an altitude of nearly 8,700 feet above sea level, the revered shrine is surrounded by dense forests and scenic mountain trails, offering both spiritual solace and natural beauty to the pilgrims.
Despite the arduous journey, devotees—young and old alike—trekked through the rugged landscape to pay obeisance at the centuries-old Ganesh Temple, believed to be one of the most sacred sites in the region. The annual Chakrabati Yatra draws devotees from across Jammu and Kashmir and neighboring states, symbolizing faith, endurance, and devotion.
Local authorities and volunteers extended support to ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage, providing assistance along the route and maintaining safety measures throughout the event. The Doda administration has also been working to promote the temple as part of spiritual tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting its cultural and religious heritage.
