RAMBAN, AUGUST 17, 2025 – The District Administration Ramban, led by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, is enhancing healthcare access in remote areas through the “Hospital on Wheels” programme, bringing medical services directly to underserved communities in Jammu and Kashmir.On August 17, 2025, a mobile medical camp was held in Gundi Dharam village, Medical Block Gool, to address healthcare gaps in isolated regions. The camp provided treatment, free medicines, diagnostics, and health awareness to residents.
A team of doctors and paramedical staff served over 130 patients, including 120 in General OPD and 16 in dental consultations. Basic tests for blood sugar, anaemia, and malaria were conducted, alongside screenings for non-communicable diseases and tuberculosis under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP). Additionally, 40 ABHA IDs were generated to support digital health services under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.Awareness sessions educated villagers on health schemes like JK SEHAT, PMJAY, NTEP, E-Sanjeevani, and ABDM, while promoting healthy lifestyle practices to prevent lifestyle-related diseases.The District Health Society Ramban supervised the camp, with plans to continue such outreach programmes to strengthen public health delivery and improve health outcomes in remote areas.
