Kashmir , April 10,2026-Hiranagar Tehsil in Kathua district is set for a significant upgrade in drinking water infrastructure under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme. The project includes the installation of 2 borewells, 2 tube wells, and 2 overhead water tanks to ensure a reliable and improved water supply for residents.
With an investment of ₹14 crore, the initiative aims to address the long-pending demand for adequate drinking water in the area. Once completed by 2026, the project is expected to enhance water accessibility, reduce shortages, and improve the overall quality of life for the local population.
The development marks a crucial step toward strengthening urban infrastructure and ensuring sustainable water management in the region.
