Jammu & Kashmir witnessed the first snow of the season in its world-famous tourist destination Gulmarg. Locals said every year they eagerly wait for the snow. With snowfall our employment increases, said a local. A lot of our work depends on the snow. The tourists also wait for the snow. They seem to be happy in the snow-laden valley. Tourists said the climate has changed. The snowfall is a welcome change. A female tourist said with rain the feel of the intense sun is not there and the weather is quite pleasant to be enjoyed by tourists. The locals catering to tourists in Gulmarg said they want more and more people to come here, as their livelihood depends on it.
