Baltal, J&K, July 8, 2025 – A devotee from Gujarat has lauded the exemplary arrangements at the Baltal base camp for the Amarnath Yatra 2025, encouraging fellow pilgrims to undertake the sacred journey without hesitation. Speaking from Baltal, one of the key routes to the Amarnath Cave in Jammu and Kashmir, the devotee highlighted the seamless facilities, robust security, and community-driven langar services that have elevated the pilgrimage experience this year.
Praised the introduction of RFID cards for tracking pilgrims, ensuring their safety during the trek to the holy cave, located at 3,880 meters in the south Kashmir Himalayas. He also commended the tight security provided by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), with 180 companies deployed across the routes, marking a significant increase from previous years. “The security is impeccable, and the arrangements are top-notch. Pilgrims should not believe rumours and must join the Yatra with faith,” he urged.In addition to security, the devotee highlighted the availability of clean toilets, well-organized medical camps, and continuous langar services offering free meals to pilgrims. These community kitchens, run by volunteers and organisations, have been a cornerstone of the Yatra, providing nourishment and fostering a sense of unity among devotees.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB) and the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Administration have been instrumental in ensuring these facilities, earning widespread appreciation.The Amarnath Yatra 2025, which commenced on July 3 and will conclude on August 9, has already drawn over 94,000 pilgrims to the sacred cave, where a naturally formed ice Shivling draws devotees from across India. The Baltal route, a shorter 14-km trek compared to the 48-km Nunwan-Pahalgam route, has seen significant footfall due to its accessibility and excellent infrastructure.The Gujarat devotee’s remarks echo the sentiments of many pilgrims who have praised the UT Administration’s efforts in creating a safe and spiritually fulfilling environment.
