Govt Schemes Empowering Artists to Preserve Culture in J&K The government is trying to promote the activities, culture, language and clothing of our village, said Rahul Sharma, New-Age Sculptor in Jammu & Kashmir’s Udhampur region. This is my new startup. I was interested from the beginning to be an artist and do good work. I have done a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Jammu. It is a four-year degree. I have been making art for three yaers. I am working to promote our Dogri culture, artist Rahul Sharma said. There are many old things, I want to bring them in front of everyone. Through my art creation, I want to give the message to embrace your culture. I would like to tell my youth peers to create their own self employment so that we can give employment to others. Work for yourself and give work to others too. Don’t just wait for government jobs. Create a startup. There are many schemes of the government. The govt is giving loans and subsidies on these loans. Today, 3-4 people are working everyday with me and they have been provided employment. There are many schemes to promote art and culture. Under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana many people got employment opportunities, said the art sculptor from Udhampur in Jammu & Kashmir.
