Future-Ready Policing: BRTC Training to Focus on Tech & Data-Led Anti-Terror Ops | Ganderbal POP I believe that training for explosions in Jammu and Kashmir is no less than a penance, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha while attending the Passing Out Parade of Basic Recruit Training Course (BRTC) of J&K Police Constables at Manigam Police Training School, Ganderbal. I heartily congratulate and wish all the brave soldiers of Jammu Kashmir Police who are starting their journey on the path of duty after almost nine to ten years of hard penance and self-reproach. I am happy that among the 438 brave recruits participating in today’s convocation, 211 are soldiers who have been promoted as constables from SPO. There are also experienced persons who have been an integral part of the inspiring tradition of Jammu and Kashmir. Its entire training is based on the new criminal law. It is also a matter of great pride for Jammu and Kashmir Police that there are eighty-six women constables in today’s convocation ceremony, LG stated. I salute the valor of women power and wish that their glory continues to grow in the professional cadre. Friends, in one year of training you must have realised that Jammu Kashmir Police Force is the most respected and glorious police force of the country. All your seniors are called the head of service and the symbol of sacrifice. Just like them, from the day you set foot in this training school, you become a part of the rich tradition of this glorious police force. The entire designated state of Jammu and Kashmir expects from you that you will ignite the seeds of peace and progress among the people. Apart from professional tradecraft, you have imbibed the values ​​of life in this training school and have worked to inculcate qualities like courage, valour, patience, self-sacrifice and discipline in your life, which will enable you to face all kinds of challenges in the future. Friends, your biggest strength is your devotion towards the motherland. Any brave man who is ready to sacrifice his life to protect his motherland is said to be the possessor of invincible power. Your pledge today at the convocation and the khaki uniform of the Jammu and Kashmir Police have placed a huge responsibility on you. No matter how big the challenges that come your way and how difficult they may be, every citizen of entire Jammu and Kashmir and India hopes for protection and service from you. In the last few years, the Jammu Kashmir Police Force, Army, CARFs and other security forces have achieved considerable success in controlling terrorism in the Kashmir Valley. Among these soldiers participating in the convocation today, thirty-five are post graduates, twenty-two are graduates. I hope that in future the Jammu and Kashmir Police Force.will get an opportunity to utilize their expertise in higher education properly, LG said. Friends, huge changes are taking place in every sphere of life. And the police force is no exception. We have to make Jammu and Kashmir Police Force a future ready police force. Technologically skilled, capable of handling the changing form of terrorism and also capable of completely controlling the growing crimes. DGP has just talked about making changes in the existing syllabus after this training. I hope that special strategy, advanced technology, and precise intelligence will put the final nail in the coffin of terrorism and its entire support system. In future, effective use of successful technology and data centric policing will be possible in both anti-terror operations and law and order missions; this has been taken care of in the training school. Technology is changing rapidly, so the use of new technology outside the training school and upgrading of essential skills to meet the challenges posed by the enemy is the need of the hour. I assure all the new trainees at Police Training School Manigam that the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the Government of India stand with you with full strength. I wish that God may bless you with good fortune and may he always be with you as your charioteer in all your victorious expeditions.I express my heartfelt gratitude and thank all the families of today’s training participants. The Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha concluded his speech by praising the officers who provided the training.
