From Mumbai to the Mountains | A Mumbai High Court Advocate’s Epic Bike Ride Across Northern India

From Mumbai to the Mountains | A Mumbai High Court Advocate’s Epic Bike Ride Across Northern India I belong to Mumbai and I have been travelling around the country on the bike for two-and-a-half years, said Phiroze Palkhivala, a traveler on reaching Anantnag in Jammu & Kashmir. I went to Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, then again to Himachal, Ladakh, Srinagar and from here I will go to Jammu. I am an advocate in Mumbai High Court. I have been practicing law for almost 30 years. One day I thought I should do something different in life. I went to Taiwan on bike then went to Iran, Turkey and Georgia. Then I decided to do this and to see my own country. He carries his own kitchen items and likes to cook his own food. He does not use oil and cooks food in water and finds it tasty. Sometimes he gets food from outside. He said he had stayed in a Shiv Temple in Gujarat where a saint had said: God has created us to do hard work with our body and keep our mind stable. He said we do the opposite. We are not using our body, we are sitting in the car, we are on our motorbikes, and since the advent of mobile phones, our minds have been wandering. Our mind remains restless. I have seen that the more you use your body, it will become stronger, said the traveller. Now I have covered the whole northern region, Himachal, Leh, Ladakh and Kashmir, said the pedal powered traveler from Mumbai.
