Ramban, November 29,2025: LG Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of 189 homes in Ramban, which were completely destroyed during the April and August floods this year. The project, with an estimated cost of Rs. 18 crore, aims to provide stronger, more resilient, and comfortable pre-fabricated homes for flood-affected families.

Addressing the gathering, LG Sinha said the new homes will foster stability in the lives of affected families and contribute to the overall development of society. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to eliminate social imbalances and disparities, ensuring social and economic justice and securing the future of Jammu & Kashmir UT.
Highlighting the construction process, he said that with the support of HRDS-India, specialized building techniques will be employed to make the homes disaster-resilient and durable, ensuring long-term safety and comfort for the residents.
The initiative is part of a larger focus on disaster rehabilitation, social welfare, and sustainable development in the Union Territory, reflecting the government’s dedication to protecting communities and rebuilding lives affected by natural calamities.
