Srinagar, October 30,2025:At an age when most teenagers are busy dreaming about their future, Farhat Wani, a 14-year-old from Kashmir, decided to take charge of hers. A Class 7 dropout, Farhat defied conventional paths to become one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the Valley, launching her own creative startup and digital academy aimed at empowering youth through innovation and skill development.
Driven by passion and curiosity, Farhat began learning digital tools, content creation, and online marketing on her own. What started as a small idea soon grew into a platform where young minds could explore creativity and entrepreneurship. Her initiative focuses on digital literacy, graphic design, content creation, and online branding, helping local youth turn their skills into meaningful careers.
Speaking about her journey, Farhat says, “Education is important, but so is courage. I wanted to prove that learning never stops — whether you’re in a classroom or beyond it.”
Her story has inspired many in the region, especially young girls in Kashmir, to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams despite challenges. Farhat’s startup also contributes to the growing digital economy in Jammu and Kashmir, aligning with India’s vision of Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
