In an era where digital literacy is paramount, CRPF’s initiative to teach essential computer skills such as Notepad, 3D Pen, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel has been transformative. Initially, many, including myself, perceived these skills as challenging. However, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the CRPF instructors, we realized that these tasks are indeed manageable and crucial for our personal and professional growth. As Karan aptly remarked, “I used to think that it is very difficult. Thank you sir, you gave us the opportunity. Now I have come to know that it is very simple.” Beyond computer education, the Civic Action Plan encompasses a wide array of activities aimed at holistic community development. For women, tailoring classes have been introduced, equipping them with skills to earn a livelihood. This not only empowers women economically but also fosters a sense of independence and self-worth. Similarly, teaching Bharat Darshan to children has broadened their horizons, instilling a sense of national pride and cultural awareness. Another significant aspect of the plan is vocational training. The CRPF has undertaken efforts to train individuals as electricians, thereby providing them with valuable skills that are in demand. Such training programs are crucial for the economic rehabilitation of the community, offering sustainable means of livelihood and reducing dependency on external aid. Education remains a cornerstone of the Civic Action Plan. By providing basic and advanced educational opportunities, the CRPF is laying the foundation for a brighter future for the residents of Jammu & Kashmir.
