Efforts are on to ensure 100% saturation of government beneficiary schemes: J&K LG Manoj Sinha

According to the Digital Jammu and Kashmir campaign, more than 450 public services have been made online which has not only reduced the public service delivery time but has made life easier for the common man, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. Through digital services we have also got success in curbing corruption, LG said. Our schemes for social security, be it Ujala scheme, Ujwala or Indradhanush, efforts are being made to ensure the 100 percent saturation of these beneficiary schemes. For the Prime Minister Grameen Sadak Yojana in Jammu and Kashmir during the financial years of 2020 and in 2021-22, J&K got third place at the national level. Under this programme, in the last three years, 6922 km of construction of long roads have happened here. In Budgam under this scheme, 58 road projects have been completed at a cost of Rs 200 crore. In bridge infrastructure, 124 projects have been completed. Efforts are being made to strengthen connectivity in Budgam as well. Budgam’s 87% population makes a living on agriculture. For the convenience of Budgam farmers, at a cost of 42 crores, seven irrigation projects have been completed. If seen in general, then in the whole of Jammu and Kashmir, 70% of the population is dependent on agriculture and allied sectors. But in Budgam, the farmer population is more. The Lieutenant Governor assured farmers of Beerwah, Budgam that for your progress and prosperity every effort will be made. Today, the farmers of Jammu and Kashmir are making huge strides in terms of earnings. Behind your happiness is the commitment of our administration for your well-being, LG said. The LG had informed farmers last time when he came for the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan that apart from the agriculture and allied sector budget with a cost of Rs 5013 crore, the J&K administration is trying to implement 29 programmes of Holistic Agriculture Development. I am pretty sure that there will be an increase in income, you will get financial stability, LG said. In the next five years, in the agriculture and allied sectors alone we will be able to provide employment to 3 lakh people and more, LG said. I have been told in Budgam, 91410 farmer families have become the beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi programme with a disbursal of 199 crore rupees. Under Ayushman Bharat Sehat scheme, 4,85,288 Golden Cards have been distributed, LG said sharing the growth statistics.
