Srinagar, July 16, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has appointed Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS (AGMUT:2009), as the Civil Aviation Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir, assigning him additional responsibilities to streamline the region’s aviation sector. This decision, announced via an official order from the General Administration Department (GAD), entrusts Dr. Choudhary with overseeing critical civil aviation operations while continuing his existing roles as Secretary to the Government, Science & Technology Department, and Administrative Secretary, Civil Aviation Department.
Dr. Choudhary, a seasoned bureaucrat known for his administrative acumen, will hold the additional charge of Civil Aviation Commissioner until further orders, as per the GAD directive.
