Srinagar , July 24, 2025-In a bold move emphasising transparency and commitment to public welfare, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Health and Medical Education, Dr. Sakina Itoo, carried out a surprise late-night inspection at JVC Hospital Bemina in Srinagar at 11:30 PM on Wednesday.
The unannounced visit aimed to assess the quality of healthcare services, availability of medical staff, and overall patient care facilities at one of Srinagar’s major government-run hospitals. The minister interacted with patients, medical personnel, and on-duty staff to gather firsthand feedback on services and infrastructure.
Dr. Itoo expressed satisfaction over certain improvements but also issued directions for immediate action on areas needing attention. She reaffirmed her ministry’s focus on enhancing public health standards, streamlining hospital operations, and ensuring accountability in the healthcare delivery system.
“This visit is part of our continued efforts to ensure that the people of Jammu and Kashmir receive the quality healthcare they deserve, round the clock,” said Dr. Itoo.
