Srinagar, 15 September 2025: The 2025 edition of TechKnow, the annual technology festival of Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar, commenced on Sunday, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across Jammu and Kashmir.
Organised by CyberCrew, the school’s technology club, the festival has grown into the Valley’s largest platform for school students to engage in hands-on technological learning. More than thirty schools from across the region joined the event, reflecting its expanding reach and influence.
On the first day, over 350 students immersed themselves in nine diverse workshops, including Artificial Intelligence, App Development, Robotics, Video Editing, Programming Essentials, Web Development, Game Development, Graphic Design, and Digital Marketing. Conducted by student instructors, the sessions offered a unique peer-to-peer learning experience, now a hallmark of TechKnow DPS Srinagar.
The festival began with a formal opening ceremony hosted by CyberCrew, where workshop heads were introduced. The initiative reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to nurturing innovation, creativity, and leadership skills among youth, encouraging them to step into roles as both learners and mentors.
This year’s TechKnow 2025 is supported by Encash Mahindra, HK Cement, Zum Zum Milk Products, Spark Creations, CNS Infotel, JK Startup 360, Greater Kashmir, Kashmir Uzma, and Red FM, whose contributions have been vital in sustaining the festival’s legacy of excellence.
Speaking at the event, Principal Shafaq Afshan remarked, “DPS Srinagar has always been at the forefront of hosting initiatives that nurture and sharpen student talent across diverse domains. TechKnow stands as living proof of this commitment.”
Chairman Vijay Dhar added, “For us at DPS Srinagar, the motto ‘Service before self’ is a pledge we live by. TechKnow exemplifies our dedication to turning the Valley into a hub of creativity and skill.”
Students and teachers from participating schools praised the event’s organisation and usefulness, with many highlighting the engaging sessions on AI and Python programming.
The festival continues today with another series of workshops and will conclude on 15 September with a grand closing ceremony at DPS Srinagar. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will grace the event as the Chief Guest, while Commissioner Secretary of the Commerce and Industries Department of J&K, Vikramjit Singh, will attend as the Guest of Honour.
