DODA, August 11, 2025 – In a vibrant display of patriotism, thousands of residents, students, and officials participated in a grand Tiranga Rally in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, on August 10, 2025, as part of the nationwide “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign ahead of Independence Day. The rally, which commenced at the Entry Point Gate and culminated at the Community Hall, saw participants waving the Tricolour and chanting patriotic slogans, filling the town with fervor and unity.Flagged off by the District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abdul Qayoom, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADDC), and Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC), the procession drew a diverse crowd, including members of the Doda Police, Armed Police, CRPF, SSB, CISF, Forest Protection Force, Home Guards, NCC cadets, and students from Police Public School, Doda.
The route, passing through key landmarks like the Sports Stadium and Ganpat Bridge, echoed with chants of national pride, symbolizing a collective commitment to India’s sovereignty and unity.“This rally is a celebration of our shared love for the nation and its values,” said DC Harvinder Singh, emphasizing the event’s role in fostering national cohesion. SSP Abdul Qayoom highlighted the participation of security forces and youth, noting their enthusiasm as a testament to Doda’s patriotic spirit. The event, meticulously organized by the District Administration Doda, also included a Tiranga Pledge Ceremony, where participants reaffirmed their dedication to the ideals embodied by the national flag.The rally’s success underscored Doda’s vibrant community spirit, with locals and students alike expressing pride in their heritage. “Marching with the Tricolour felt like honoring the sacrifices of our freedom fighters,” said a student participant.
