SAMBA, NOVEMBER 06: Under the directions of National Legal Services Authority and J&K Legal Services Authority, and under the guidance of Ravinder Nath Wattal, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Samba, the DLSA Secretary Sandeep Singh Sen, today launched an awareness campaign for NALSA’s toll-free legal aid helpline number 15100 in District Samba.
The initiative aims to provide accessible and equitable justice to all citizens, particularly marginalized and vulnerable sections of society through NALSA Helpline 15100.
Highlighting the key features of NALSA Helpline toll free number , the Secretary DLSA said by Calling toll free number 15100, a person can access legal aid anytime, anywhere in any language through NALSA Helpline. “This initiative will bridge the gap between citizens and the legal system, providing free legal assistance, advice and guidance to needy persons at the earliest without visiting any office,” he added.
He apprised that the NALSA Helpline 15100 Offers Legal advice and guidance, awareness on legal rights and entitlements, besides referral to local legal services authorities and panel lawyers and guidance on mediation and conciliation. He also apprised that every person can call for any legal aid assistance through NALSA Helpline 15100.
Secretary DLSA Samba, launched the campaign by fixing banners of NALSA helpline 15100 (toll free) at different places, particularly at the DLSA Front Office and other public places across District Samba.
In addition the PLVs (Adhikar Mitras) of District Samba also participated in the campaign by fixing banners of NALSA helpline toll free number 15100 at various public places, including hospitals, Tehsil offices, police stations, schools, and legal aid clinics etc.
This move of DLSA Samba will undoubtedly benefit a large number of people in the district, without spending time and money. With the helpline, citizens can easily access legal aid without having to navigate complex bureaucratic processes or incur financial burdens. The helpline features, including being toll-free, available 24/7, and offering multilingual support ensures that justice is within reach for everyone.
By promoting this initiative, the District Samba is taking a significant step towards ensuring that justice is accessible to all, particularly marginalized and vulnerable sections of society.
