This yatra has been going on for centuries, said Bilal Ahmed, District Development Council (DDC) Member in Anantnag, J&K. In Jammu and Kashmir a lot of preparations are done from the heart. On behalf of my constituency I welcome the yatris participating in the 2023 Shri Amarnath ji holy pilgrimage. From the people of Anantnag district, I also welcome the Amarnath yatris, said Peer Sehbaz, DDC Member Anantnag. We want a large number of people to come here and have a darshan of Baba Barfani. The local people here are with them. Organiser Hilal Ahmed says, we have put up tents for the yatris. A lot of attention has been paid to sanitation. Electricity and water is available for them. We want more and more travellers to come here. Tea, water, and food has been arranged for the yatris. Ahmed Azhar, another organiser says, bedding and provision of blankets has been made for their night halt. When one yatra ends, our people wait for the next yatra to come. They stand for their welcome. Mohamad Yusuf, DDC Member says, we are praying that more people join in the 2023 Amarnath yatra. Our people from the district of Anantnag are eagerly waiting to welcome them.
