Srinagar, September 1, 2025 – Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sartaj Ahmad Shah, today chaired a comprehensive meeting at the Agriculture Complex in Lalmandi to assess the physical and financial achievements under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP), Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs), and NABARD-funded initiatives. The gathering aimed to ensure effective implementation and optimal utilisation of resources to bolster agricultural development in the region.The meeting delved into the detailed progress of HADP projects, with a thorough discussion on the execution of various components. Centrally sponsored schemes implemented by the department were also examined in depth, highlighting key milestones and challenges.
Addressing the officers, Director Shah emphasized the critical need for expeditious and judicious fund expenditure across HADP, CAPEX, and CSSs. He directed that all allocated funds under HADP projects and CSS components be utilized in a time-bound manner to maximize impact on farmers and the agricultural sector.Reiterating the department’s commitment to transparency, Director Shah stressed maintaining the highest standards of accountability in all financial transactions. He instructed officers to actively engage with farming communities, raising awareness about HADP benefits and introducing the latest farmer-friendly technologies in agriculture and allied sectors. Collaboration with grassroots farmer groups was highlighted as essential for the successful rollout of projects at the local level.
