Srinagar,November 8,2025 Jammu and Kashmir has achieved an impressive 93% Aadhaar coverage, marking a significant stride toward digital inclusion and efficient governance. The milestone reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring that every resident benefits from Aadhaar-linked welfare schemes, subsidies, and public services.
Officials stated that the drive to expand Aadhaar enrolment has been a priority initiative under the Union Territory’s focus on transparent service delivery and social empowerment. The remaining population is being rapidly enrolled through special outreach and mobile registration camps across remote and hilly areas.
The high Aadhaar penetration will further streamline the implementation of key welfare programs, strengthen Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanisms, and enhance data-driven governance in the Union Territory.
Authorities have lauded the coordinated efforts of the Information Technology Department, District Administrations, and UIDAI for ensuring that digital access reaches every household in Jammu and Kashmir.
