Srinagar / Pahalgam, July 7, 2025 – Despite recent challenges following the Pahalgam incident, devotees’ faith in the sacred Amarnath Yatra 2025 remains unshaken. In a powerful display of devotion, nearly 70,000 pilgrims have paid obeisance at the Holy Amarnath Cave Shrine within just four days of the Yatra’s commencement.
According to official figures, the total number of pilgrims who visited the holy cave from July 3 to July 6 stands at 69,484:
- July 3 (Day 1): 12,348
- July 4: 14,515
- July 5: 21,109
- July 6: 21,512
The steadily increasing numbers reflect the unwavering faith of devotees in Baba Barfani, despite adverse conditions. Officials expect the number to rise significantly in the coming weeks.
The Amarnath Yatra 2025 began on July 3 and will continue until August 9. The administration, along with the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), has ensured comprehensive arrangements, including multi-layered security, RFID tracking, medical support, sanitation, and langar (free food services) to support the smooth conduct of the Yatra.
Pilgrims who reached the holy shrine described the experience as “divine and peaceful,” adding that no tragedy can shake the resolve to seek blessings from Lord Shiva.
The Pahalgam sector, which witnessed a recent natural calamity, continues to receive pilgrims in large numbers. Enhanced security, round-the-clock monitoring, and disaster readiness measures have helped boost confidence among yatris.
The Amarnath Yatra continues to serve as a profound symbol of faith, unity, and spiritual endurance amidst all odds.
