Deputy Commissioner delivers motivational lecture on traffic rules

DODA, JANUARY 18: In alignment with the ongoing ‘Road Safety Month’ themed ‘Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha,’ the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Doda has proactively taken steps to elevate road safety awareness, specifically addressing challenges related to driving on challenging hilly terrains. An awareness program unfolded at the new Bus stand in Bhadarwah, with a particular focus on enlightening new license seekers.
Under the guidance of ARTO, Rajesh Gupta, the initiative extended its impact to New Bus stand Kotli, where a tailored awareness program targeted new license seekers.
Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh delivered a motivational lecture on safe driving, encouraging participants to pledge their commitment to adhere to traffic rules for their safety and the well-being of others.
ARTO emphasized the critical issue of road accidents in the hilly Doda district, underlining the devastating impact on numerous families. He stressed the importance of obeying traffic rules and avoiding rash driving, particularly in consideration of the families eagerly waiting at home. The use of seat belts and compliance with vehicle fitness guidelines were also highlighted for safer driving.
The celebration witnessed positive interactions between Deputy Commissioner, the newly licensed drivers and officials from MVD Doda. ADC Bhadewah Dilmir Choudhary along with other officials actively participated in the event, underscoring the significance of the National Road Safety Month.
