Jammu, November 22: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Chowdhury today met with a delegation of the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Kathua and prominent Sikh community leaders.
The Gurudwara, which holds immense spiritual and historical significance, is closely associated with Guru Nanak Dev Ji and is considered a sacred site for the Sikh community. Recognizing its profound cultural importance, the delegation stressed the urgent need for the revival, restoration, preservation, and ongoing maintenance of this revered landmark.
The delegation urged the Deputy Chief Minister to prioritize the restoration of Gurudwara Charan Kamal Sahib and to implement dedicated schemes for its preservation. They assured their full cooperation in the restoration process, expressing their commitment to working closely with the government to ensure the Gurudwara is restored to its former glory.
In response, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Chowdhury acknowledged the concerns raised by the delegation and assured them of the government’s commitment to preserving Jammu and Kashmir’s rich architectural and cultural heritage.
