BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 03: District Election Officer (DEO) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohammad Zaid Malik, conducted an inspection of the strong room and intermediate strong rooms at Khawjabagh, Baramulla today. The visit was aimed at ensuring the highest standards of security for the election materials.
During the inspection, both officers assessed the current security measures, including surveillance systems, access controls, and overall management of the strong rooms.
District Election Officer Sherpa directed the Deputy DEO to oversee the installation of CCTV cameras for continuous 24×7 surveillance, ensuring constant monitoring and securing the election materials. Additionally, the DEO instructed the installation of grills on all windows to enhance physical security and prevent unauthorized access.
Minga Sherpa also emphasized the need for strengthened security arrangements around the facility. He directed the police to increase vigilance, sensitize the area, and deploy security personnel at all entry points to ensure a robust security presence.
