GANDERBAL, MAY 04: The District Election Officer (DEO) Ganderbal, Shyambir convened a meeting today to finalize the arrangements for special polling stations across the district in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
These special stations include exclusive booths for women, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Senior Citizens, and designated green polling stations.
During the meeting, the DEO thoroughly reviewed the logistical arrangements and the provisioning of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) to ensure a seamless voting experience on Election Day.
Shyambir directed the officers to maintain high standards of cleanliness and implement strict color coding at each Special Polling Station to enhance voter experience and participation.
Furthermore, the DEO emphasized the importance of creating an inviting atmosphere at the polling stations with attractive welcome entries and theme-based color coding.
He urged all officers and stakeholders to work with dedication to uphold the integrity of the electoral process, ensuring it is conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner.
The DEO maintained that the district administration is committed to providing a conducive voting environment, facilitating easy access and a pleasant voting experience for all eligible voters.
The meeting witnessed participation from Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), Deputy DEO, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Chief Education Officer (CEO), Tehsildar Ganderbal, concerned Nodal Officers, officials, and other key stakeholders.
