District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee to review the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram scheme in the district. The meeting focused on accelerating initiatives aimed at the socio-economic upliftment of minority communities through the timely and effective execution of key developmental projects.
The DDC assessed the progress of various projects undertaken under the PMJVK scheme, particularly in the education sector. These include the construction of school buildings for GHS Lopara , GHS Tipri , GHS Sranwa , GMS Gulabgarh , GMS Bonda , GMS Hindgam and GHSS Mughal Maidan . The DDC directed the concerned departments to expedite work to ensure timely completion.
Additionally, the DDC issued instructions for the construction of an additional room at the Health and Wellness Centre in Sigdi Bhata, the assessment of the old block and multipurpose hall at GHSS Kishtwar, and the remodeling of NTPHC Inderwal. He emphasised the need for proactive efforts to ensure the quality and efficiency of these initiatives.
